Another week!

I've been written my blog for several days again. I don't really feel to write it or to update my website. It's really hot in Florence and we always go looking for fresh places. There're many town festivals all around Tuscany and we spent three days in three different towns. I didn't stitch as I would have liked but I stitched, even if the weather is not right to stitch, it's really hot!!!

There was another happy dance, a little happy dance, but very happy.
I finished one of my charity's patterns and I've already sent it away. I finished Angelove pattern. It was hard, but I did it! There is a lot of backstitch and many French knots.....Here is it!

I could stitch my PR pattern, only few stitches, but I stitched it!!! I'm stitching the roses, I don't enjoy repeating them but I'd like to finish all the roses before starting a new funny part of the pattern. I think I've not stitched hald of the roses yet...

I'm in other four charity's projects and I start stitching a new one after having finished my Angelove pattern. I decided to stitch A year of Wishmy, the August pattern. I like the colours and I'm enojoying using them. Here is my second progress.

I really hope to write again as soon as possible because I missed my blog!!!

A week passed...

I don't feel like using my computer during this period because I'm using it all the day and during my free time I prefer stitching as possible.
A week passed and I stitched.
I finished my sixth block of the French Sampler, Terre de France.
One of my May's goals is stitching the fifth block, the sixth one and starting the seventh...I'm going on good!

There was a little happy dance. I finished my Bent Creek pattern, Signs of Spring. Now I have to decide how I could frame or sew it...Unfortunately we can't see the bunny's eyes but there are!!!

Last week stitching blogger's question was:
How many strands of floss to you prefer to stitch with? Why?

I generally prefer to stitch with two strands because I usually stitch on 28ct linen. Otherwise I use one strand on 36ct linen. For example my sampler is on linen 36ct and I like how it's turning out. I don't like stitching on 36ct linen with two strands because it seems to be difficult for me.

I'm back!

Past days were not good for stitches and computer. I was busy with many things and I didn't update my website and my blog.
Now I'm back...
I stitched only the pattern Angelove for a charity project.
I must send it before the 25th of May, so I'm favouring it.
I finished stitches and I'm going on with the backstitch. The backstitch is long and there are many French knots...and I don't love them!!!

Last Sunday I stitched the PR pattern too, only few stitches. I stitched the roses again.

I've not answered last week's question yet...

Given the option, would you rather buy a chart and get the material
and floss together yourself, or buy a pre-packed kit?

I'm not doubtful. I prefer buying a chart and getting the material and floss together myself. I don't like kits!!! I prefer picking the fabric and changing something if I like so.

I've been tagged too...I've been tagged from Katrina and Anneke.

The instructions are to complete five of the following sentences, and then to go on "tag" three more friends. Not sure if I'll find another three bloggers who haven't already been tagged!

If I could be a scientist . . .
If I could be a farmer . . .
If I could be a musician . . .
If I could be a doctor . . .
If I could be a painter . . .
If I could be a gardener . . .
If I could be a missionary . . .
If I could be a chef . . .
If I could be an architect . . .
If I could be a linguist . . .
If I could be a psychologist . . .
If I could be a librarian . . .
If I could be an athlete . . .
If I could be a lawyer . . .
If I could be an inn-keeper . . .
If I could be a professor . . .
If I could be a writer . . .
If I could be a llama-rider . . .
If I could be a bonnie pirate . . .
If I could be an astronaut . . .
If I could be a world famous blogger . . .
If I could be a justice on any one court in the world . . .
If I could be married to any current famous political figure . . .

If I could be a painter I'd like painting watercolours in my garden and I'd go around my region (Tuscany) to portray every nice little town and the Tuscany country.

If I could be a librarian I'd spend all my free time in the shop looking for every new book and I'd write a long list of the books I'd like reading. And, I know myself, I'd like to recommend to my customers all my favourite books.

If I could be a professor I'd be a mathematics professor and I'd be very severe. But I'd like to come with my children to a scholastic trip.

If I could be a chef I'd be a specialist in first courses, in courses with every kind of pasta. But in my restaurant I'd have the Florence's grilled steak too!

If I could be a writer I'd have a big house in the country near Florence and I'd write all the day about love and detective stories.

Thank you, Katrina and Anneke. I enjoyed myself!!! I'll try to look for untagged someone...

Weekend

During my weekend I didn't stich, to tell the truth I stitched a bit. I finished the fifth block of my french Marquoir. It's turning out as I couldn't hope... The picture is good (finally!) and we can see how the hand dyed fiber I'm using is nice. I had finished my fifth block on Friday but I got wrong half block and on Sunday I had to undo and stitch again. And I couldn't stitch my Passione Ricamo pattern... I can't wait for stitching it again!!! There is also a preview of the next PR pattern on the official website.

Arrivals!!!

My partner in the scissor fob exchange on EMS forum received her one, she told me she liked it...I hope so...It was difficult to find the right pattern. Well, she likes flowers and bears and they are both easy themes but I've so many patterns and to pick out one among many patterns is disorganized. I picked out a poppy because it makes me think about summer... The pattern is from "Susanna", the most popular magazine in Italy. It's an old issue because I stopped to buy it last year. The old patterns are nice.

About this scissor fob exchange I've just received mine from Heidi in Finland. It's so cute!!! Thank you, Heidi.

I received my order from Silkweaver too. Carol (thanks, thanks!!!) told me about a big discount two weeks ago and I ordered some fabrics. They're wonderful! I bought two Expressions fabrics, I had never seen them before today and I can't believe it, they are beautiful!!!

It's a really good day, I think.

Summary and questions

I came back!
I didn't go away but I didn't write during these days.
I did so many little things. I finished a little block to sew a potholder. I have not had a picture yet. I hope to sew it tomorrow. Then I finished my secret project for a friend...I can't tell anything about it: it's a big secret!
I continued my Bent Creek spring pattern but in Florence it's so hot that I could stitch a summer pattern! On Sunday we had lunch in the garden!!!!!
I started stitching the fifth block of Terre de France and I stitched my charity's block. I didn't forget my PR pattern...I stitched it because Sunday was our SAL day but I didn't a big progress...I had not enough time because in the evening we had dinner with friends and I could stitch it only in the afternoon.

My progress on BC pattern:

Today's first question was suggested by Dawn
(http://crafterscreations.blogspot.com) and is:

Do you finish all your finished pieces? (pillow, frame, etc,) If so,
how do you finish the pieces? If not what do you do with them?

I would have liked to answer "yes, I do", but no, I don't. When I finish a piece I'm so happy! After few days I started new pieces and I leave my old pieces unfinished or unframed. I don't know why. Sometimes I decide to pull out some unfinished pieces and finish them. I usually finish them in banners or framed works. Instead the unfinished pieces are waiting in a basket...

Today's second question is:
What is your opinion of Internet "freebies?"

Freebies are so many but few freebies are nice. I particularly like the French ones and the Mirabilia's ones. I like Elizabeth's designs' freebies and The Drawn Thread's ones. There are so many ladies who love all kinds of freebies, this is the reason for my making freebies on my website. I hope somebody likes them!
